Cook of the Week - Hans Joerg Enderlin - Hammond

Chef also teaches his cooking talent to others...

The culinary globe-trotting of Hans Joerg Enderlin began more than twenty-eight years ago, when he worked as chef's apprentice in Germany.

He traveled throughout Europe, learning more about his trade along the way.When Enderlin came to this country, he established himself as a chef for major hotel chains, working for Hilton, Sheraton, Marriot and Radisson, including Star Plaza.

Last year, he opened his own establishment, Ludwig's Club Cafe' in Hammond, at which is featured local, European and continental cuisine, with a special accent on the German taste buds.

"It was time to have my own place." Said Enderlin, who runs the restaurant wife his wife, Hermine. "We are presently in the planning to add an atrium addition with beer and wine service."

Among Enderlin's hobbies are culinary and hospitality education. "I oversee a cadre of talented cook and chef apprentices." Enderlin said. Adding, "I pride myself on the many people I have been able to teach culinary and hospitality trend setting knowledge.
